Course Reserves

To place items on reserve for your class, simply submit a Course Reserve Form or contact the Access Services Supervisor at lawcirc@regent.edu. Items you supply may be sent to the Law Library via Law Run.

At the end of each semester, reserves are removed from the course record and library catalog, and are returned to the shelf or the Faculty Member. Should you need to retrieve items before the end of a semester, please contact Nikitia Powell at ext. 4465.

Law Faculty Circulation Policy

Regular Law Faculty may borrow materials as follows:

1If requested by another patron, items may be recalled after 30 days following the check out date. The Faculty Member then has five (5) days to return the item.

2Renewals may be requested through Faculty Services, via the Library Catalog, or by phone at 757.352.4450.

3Regularly updated materials must be kept readily available to Law Library staff.

4Menefee Collection Materials must be requested in advance.

GA Proxy Borrower Privileges

With signed GA Proxy Borrowing Form on file, a Graduate Assistant may:
  • Check-out items for their faculty member
  • Use the Faculty copycard
  • Compile a reserve list
  • Obtain other law library services on behalf of their faculty member

Materials borrowed by proxy are checked out in the faculty member's name. The faculty member remains responsible for all checked-out material.

Completed Forms should be addressed to Nikitia Powell, Access Services Supervisor, and placed in the Law Run.
