The Law Library has prepared the information that follows to assist you in locating the sources you will need during the cite-check process. Please refer to the Law Review & Journal Handbook (linked below) guidance on how best to use these resources and for additional information.

Basic Cite-Check Process

If you need a book:

  • Check OCLC WorldCat to find out if the item is owned by a local member of the Tidewater Consortium.  Remember that items held by local libraries are not eligible for ILL. 
  •  If the book is not available locally, use the WorldCat info (don't forget ISBN and OCLC Number!) to complete and submit an ILL request.
