Getting Started

Regent University ETD Administrator

Your first step after your dissertation or thesis is approved is to set up your own profile in the Regent University EDT Administrator System. The submission process can be done in multiple sessions. The electronic submission process expedites the publishing process; a dissertation submitted electronically appears in eight to twelve weeks; this is much timelier than the paper submission process. You will need to have the following in order to complete your submission:

  • Full text of the dissertation/thesis in PDF format. Your manuscript must be one file. Your manuscript should adhere to the formatting, writing style, and other dictates that you have been given by your college or school. If your manuscript is in Word or RTF format, you can convert to PDF using the PDF Conversion tool. You also must embed fonts in the PDF. For instructions about PDF conversion, see the ProQuest PDF tutorial

  • Abstract

  • Optional Supplementary files (images, data, etc.) that are an integral part of the dissertation/thesis, but not part of the full text.

  • Advisor and other Committee Members' Names

  • Subject Category. You will choose one to three subject categories from the Subject Category list PDF file, that best describe your dissertation/thesis' subject area.

You create your submission, a process which includes:

  • Providing your contact information

  • Providing a PDF version of your manuscript.

  • Making decisions about publishing options and restrictions

Your submission is assigned to an administrator at your graduate school for review. The assigned administrator reviews your submission to ensure that your information—including your abstract and the PDF of your manuscript—is accurate, correct, and complete. You may be asked to make either minor or major revisions. When your submission passes review, the administrator will 'accept' it.Your ETD is then sent to ProQuest/UMI for publishing.
