Because states recognize that service members and their families are required to move often and that this can be a hindrance to the practice of law by military spouses, many states admit spouses of active duty service members to the bar without additional examination even though they may not otherwise qualify for admission or reciprocity. Components of the Uniform Bar Exam
All applicants must complete the Massachusetts Law Component, a 50-question multiple-choice test administered online. This test need not be taken at a specific time. but is a prerequisite to admission.
