Preparing for the Bar Exam: Home

About This Guide
This guide provides tools and resources that law students may use in preparing for the bar exam.  It should supplement, but never be used to replace a formal bar exam preparatory course, or information provided by the Office of Career & Alumni Services. Additional resources offered through the Law Library are available on our Exam Preparation Resources guide. Click on your state's tab above to view bar exam information and resources specific to that state, including subjects tested, subject frequency, questions and model answers, and a list of elective courses we recommend to help you be as prepared as possible to sit for the exam.

UBE Jurisdictions

IMPORTANT: Not all UBE states accept transferred MBE scores. Please make sure you understand the rule for the state(s) in which you intend to practice. You can view each state's specifications, as well as the very latest information regarding UBE adoption, on the National Conference of Bar Examiners' website by clicking on the state or selecting the state from the list provided.
