About the Law Library: Services

The Law Public Services Desk is located on the Third Floor of the Library Building. The combined service desk provides library users with a single contact point for both Research Services and Access Services. Law students should visit the Student Resources page for more information.

Access Services & Circulation

Access services staff are available to assist users with locating materials within collection and to perform traditional circulation services.

Reference & Research Services

Law librarians are available during regularly scheduled hours. The scope of assistance provided varies by user type. 

Law librarians may aid visitors in locating and using law library resources, but Law Library faculty/staff cannot:

• Provide legal advice, interpretation, or analysis; or
• Assist in preparing legal documents or in choosing specific legal forms.

Law students are encouraged to make an appointment with Professor Magee to learn more about the wide variety of ways that the Law Library supports research and class prep.
