Alumni and members of the Virginia or North Carolina bar may establish a patron account, enabling them borrow circulating items for the normal borrowing period.
If at the end of that time the item is not late or placed on hold, it may be renewed for an additional period. During a renewal period, a book may be recalled if requested by another patron. Recalled items must be returned within 5 days.
Fines for overdue books are $.10 per item per day. If the book is late and another patron has requested that the item be recalled, the fine increases to $1.00 per item per day.
When provided with a complete citation, the Law Library will retrieve and fax or mail photocopies of certain library material for a nominal fee to members of the local bar who establish an account with the Access Services Department.
For complete information, please contact the Access Services Supervisor at (757) 352-4450.
