About the Colloquium Series

Regent Law faculty seek to engage, inspire, and transform legal thought through scholarship and service. Colloquia provide a forum for faculty to highlight recent scholarship and to exchange ideas and seek feedback from colleagues on recent publications and works in progress. Associate Dean Ernie Walton - Fall 2023

In Loco Parentis, The First Amendment, and Parental Rights--Can They Coexist in Public Schools?

On October 9th, Associate Dean Ernie Walton will present two of his most recent articles: In Loco Parentis, the First Amendment, and Parental Rights—Can they Coexist in Public Schools? and Gender Identity Ideology: The Totalitarian, Unconstitutional Takeover of America’s Public Schools. Law students are invited to join the law faculty in what promises to be a riveting discussion of the legal issues involved in the clash between gender identity ideology and fundamental parental rights.

Refreshments will be provided after the event.  We hope to see you there!
