Entry into the Law Library Limited to Current Members of the Law School Community

Note: To access the Law Library, faculty, staff, and students must use an authorized Regent ID/Library Access Card to "tap" in through the University Library main doors during regular operational hours.

  • Members of the Community Must check in and obtain a visitors badge.
  • What if I don't have an ID or access card? A "My Photo ID" request form is available on the MyRegent Student page. Contact Student Services for additional information.
  • What if my ID card does not work on the library door card reader? Call 757-352-4150 for assistance. 
  • Can I use my access card to enter when the Library is closed? No. Students may only enter the Library during regularly scheduled operational hours.

Purpose Statement

The Law Library supports the mission of the School of Law by assisting with the curricular, research, and technological needs of the faculty, students, and administration of the School of Law and the legal research needs of the Regent University community.

Law Library Hours (Beginning 8/22/2022)

Sunday: 2:00pm – 12:00am

Mon-Thur: 6:00am – 12:00am

Friday: 6:00am – 8:00pm

Saturday: 10:00am – 7:00pm


We are closed on MLK Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas. Building and service hours may be different in the summer and when classes are not in session. Please check our Facebook page for modified hours announcements.

Take exit 286-B from Interstate 64 at Indian River Road. Regent University will be immediately on your right. Under normal traffic conditions, Regent is a 15-minute drive from the Norfolk International Airport.

The Law Library occupies the entire 3rd floor of the Library building. Enter through the main doors of the University Library and proceed by stairs or elevator to the 3rd floor.
