Benefits and Services - Consortium

Students from partnering schools or colleges with a current library card can use the following Library services:

  • Use of open study spaces and public wifi
  • Use of open-access databases only
  • Use of reservable group study rooms
  • Check out of internal use only items, such as headphones and public access computers.
  • Check out physical books and DVDs
  • Check out non-book items, such as umbrellas, blankets, etc.

Registration Procedure - Local Christian High Schools & Colleges - Institutions

Prior to registering, please ensure that the Local Christian College or Local Christian High School is a partnering institution with Regent University Library.

Local Christian Colleges:

  • Providence Bible College and Theological Seminary
  • Virginia Beach Theological Seminary
  • Wave Leadership College
  • Seapointe College 

 

For institutions not currently partnered with us, please have a school representative fill out the form below, and a supervisor will contact them with further steps. 

Registration Procedure - Local Christian High Schools & Colleges - Students

To register as a Local Christian High School student, please do the following:

 

1. All Christian High School students under 18 must be sponsored by a parent or guardian with an active library card on file with Regent University Library. If you are a parent or guardian registering for the first time and are not affiliated with Regent University, please visit the Visiting Student or Local Non-Student pages to register for a library card before registering your student. 

2. Fill out the Registration form below for each student wishing to register for a library card.

  • Fill this form out with the student's name and information, ensuring that you include a unique email address, as this will be used for their username in our system. 
  • Under "Partnering Institution," enter the name of the partnering Christian High School. 
  • Under "Reciprocal Borrowing Group," enter "Local Christian High School."

3. Additionally, for each student, fill out a "Minor Verification Form," as seen below. This form verifies that any actions taken by the student's account will be insured by their sponsoring adult, such as lost or damaged materials.

  • Under the Minor's Patron type, select "Consortium."

4. Once all forms are complete, please come to the Resource Desk to take a photo and show proof of identification. Proof of identity is required for any parent/guardian and is optional for the minor student. 

5. A library card will be issued, which must be brought and scanned each time they visit, both for checking out materials and checking in when entering the library. 

 

To register as a Local Christian College student, please do the following:

 

1. Fill out the Registration form below to register for a library card.

  • Fill out the form below with your name and information, ensuring that you include a unique email address, as this will be used for your username in our system. 
  • Under "Partnering Institution," enter the name of the partnering Christian College. 
  • Under "Reciprocal Borrowing Group," enter "Local Christian College."

2. Once all forms are complete, please come to the Resource Desk to take a photo and show proof of identification. 

  • To prove membership in your institution, please bring a current student ID or show proof of student status by proving enrollment via logging into the college website, Canvas, Blackboard, etc. 

3. A library card will be issued, which must be brought and scanned each time you visit, both for checking out materials and checking in when entering the library.
